LOOK, LEARN & SHOOT: The 2nd annual Alpine Photo Weekend offers three days of photography activities from the Museum of the Big Bend, including a new exhibit from photographer Terry Cockerham, a day of photography talks and demonstrations, and two guided photo walks!

Friday, June 16:
Opening Reception for Terry Cockerham: Big Bend and The Terlingua Project
Color and Black & White Photographs of the Big Bend area by fine art photographer, Terry Cockerham of Dallas, Texas. The exhibit runs through September 2, 2017.

Saturday, June 17 & Sunday, June 18:
Photography Talks and Demonstrations
Experienced area photographers share their work and techniques. Classic to contemporary photography topics will be discussed.

Guided Photo Hike & Walks
A sunset hike up Hancock Hill behind the Sul Ross State University campus, and a sunrise walk through downtown Alpine give a wide range of photo-making opportunities.
All images captured in and around Alpine are eligible for free entry in the 6th Annual Shooting Alpine Photo Contest ($500 top prize).
