Kokernot Park Mural

History of the Texas Rangers Mural
The History of the Texas Rangers, on the east wall of the Prescription Shop, is one of a series of historically inspired murals by Stylle Read. The mural was commissioned by Alpine’s Artwalk and completed in July, 2019.
Alpine Volunteer Fire Department Mural
A mural by Cristina Sosa Noriega commemorating 100 years of the Alpine Volunteer Fire Department at the Brewster County Emergency Response Center. The mural was dedicated in June of 2019.

Alpine’s Post Office until September 2000, built in 1939, is typical of WPA architecture. The inside retains most of its original features, including “View of Alpine”, a mural painted by Jose Moya del Pine in 1940.
Beach Mural at Alpine Medical Center
Long-time Alpine artist Deborah Allison (who has sadly now moved away) painted a tropical paradise in the Chihuahuan Desert on two sides of the Alpine Medical Center.
