A music party where EVERYONE can play!
Start up your summer with music in the high desert mountains! On Saturday, June 20, an all-day progressive celebration will lead you around Alpine’s small, walkable downtown, inviting you to join in the music making or just sit back and enjoy.
Make Music Alpine will serve up a full day of activities for listeners and players at any experience level!
9 a.m.-noon at the Alpine Visitor Center, 106 N 3rd Street:
- Free Harmonica Workshop for beginners led by Donnie “Wind” Bason and Cyndi Perdue, founder of the Big Bend Bluegrass Festival. Harmonicas provided at no cost.
- Musical Instrument Petting Zoo with the Big Bend Bluegrass Association
- Make Your Own Bagpipe Kids Craft, plus a real bagpipe demonstration.
- The Off the Rails Band performs on the Visitor Center porch until noon.
12-5 p.m. at Cow Dog, 215 E. Holland Avenue:
- Percussion Playtime with Steve Sorg
- Performance by Trash Pandas
- Open Mic, hosted by Rachel Carvajal
5-10 p.m. at Alcove Social, 101 W. Avenue E:
- Music Circle hosted by Debo Rollins
- Performance by Debo Rollins & Steve Martinez
7-9 p.m. at The Ritchey, 102 E. Murphy Street:
- Performance by Adam Bork & Peter Clementi
