Join Dr. Jeanne Qvarnstrom and artist Amanda Calhoun and get a signed copy of Grandma’s Ranchito. Great fun for all kids and families! Both Dr. Qvarnstrom and Calhoun are locals with a love for the area, stop by to get to know these two talented creators!

Dr. Jeanne Qvarnstrom has been a Professor of Education at Sul Ross State University since 2012. She is incredibly active in education, and you might recognize her from February Read Aloud, the Annual SRSU Women’s Conference, or one of the plethora of scholarly presentations she has conducted.

Amanda Calhoun is a working artist in Alpine, Texas where she creates one-of-a-kind ceramic art pieces; her art is a playful and nostalgic exploration of pop culture influences, significantly inspired by the desert vistas. You might know her work from the pop-inspired design on a water tank at Kokernot Park’s southeast corner!
