Meet & Greet: Lucy Griffith

Regional poet Lucy Griffith is back at Front Street Books!!! Stop by the bookstore for a meet & greet on Friday, August 21st (3-5 PM) and get her newest poetry book, Songs of the Ocotillo!

Lucy Griffith lives beside the Guadalupe River near Comfort, Texas. She is a retired psychologist, a certified Texas Master Naturalist, and is a regular contributor to the Texas Star, an award-winning publication of the Hill Country Chapter of Texas Master Naturalists. She was also a Women Writing the West 2025 WILLA Literary Award Finalist in Poetry!

Songs of the Ocotillo is a collaboration between poet Lucy Griffith and local Marfa resident artist Darlene Marwitz, mixing poetic and visual art that pays homage to the iconic and beloved plant of the Chihuahuan Desert.

The bookstore also has a limited number of poster broadsides created by these talented Texans available for purchase!
