“I love this shot. Had it been handled with a little more finesse it would have made it to the finalist list. The exposure is the problem. Try using a flash to fill in some detail on the foreground and then you will be able to stop down the background so it won’t be so washed out. Or use a polarizing filter, filling in the foreground with a little bit of light accents but keeping detail in the clouds. I love the attitude of the image, the figures facing away and the shaggy dead yucca that almost appears as a third figure.”
