Viva Big Bend Music Festival and the Shooting Alpine Photo & Video Contest

VIVA BIG BEND is an annual music festival held in far West Texas. Taking place July 24-27 in Alpine, Fort Davis, Marfa and Marathon, VBB will feature more than 75 performances in 10 venues (check the lineup here).

There are many other events happening during VBB, including an art show, kids’ activities and functions geared toward musicians/music-industry reps. 2012 was the first year of the music festival, and it was a big success – we recommend booking tickets (and hotel rooms) VERY soon!  Acts scheduled to appear include: Billy Joe Shaver, Texas Tornados, Reckless Kelly, Twang Twang Shock-a-Boom, and many, MANY more!

By the way, due to the high elevation, this area has a cooler climate than most of Texas (the high temperatures for the festival last year ranged from 78 to 85 degrees). Be sure to check out the Viva Big Bend website and Facebook page for event updates.
